The Questra Service Agent is a key component of Questra's IDM solution, and is easily installed on individual devices or on a computer that monitors multiple devices. The Service Agent is responsible for intelligent monitoring and for secure, bi-directional communications over the Internet to the Questra Control Center.
Respond Instantly to Problems
The Service Agent's monitoring capabilities allow device performance data to be sampled continuously at periodic intervals. Upon encountering an error or threshold event, the Service Agent submits a fault notification to the Questra Control Center, which then can execute device diagnostics, analyze data around the event, or notify the support center. The device conditions that trigger alarms are completely user-defined.
Minimize network traffic
Continuous monitoring doesn't have to mean that the network between the device and the enterprise gets overloaded. The Service Agent can monitor devices constantly and locally at frequent intervals, and be set up to send only eventful data as needed to the enterprise.
Reduce troubleshooting time
Reduce the time it takes to diagnose problems by providing better data . The Service Agent can log data to the Event Recorder, a high-speed RAM-based storage mechanism. Event Recorder data is stored until an error condition occurs, and at that point, the Service Agent will upload Event Recorder data to the enterprise to provide information for troubleshooting and analysis.
Achieve efficient, centralized management of devices worldwide
Each copy of Questra Service Agent can be controlled and configured on-site or centrally from Questra Control Center at the enterprise. All configuration changes to monitoring and scheduling, requests for file upload/download, and remote access can be centrally administered by Questra Control Center.
